Hi, I’m Ryan!

LMSW under Supervision of Amanda Steed, LCSW-S

I am a trauma-informed therapist with a strong clinical foundation built on over 20 years of direct work in crisis intervention, trauma support, and community advocacy. I bring a grounded, regulation-focused presence to the therapy room, helping individuals navigate the complexities of identity, anxiety, and the internal weight of "high-functioning" burnout. My work is steady and collaborative, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR principles to help you move from survival mode into a place of genuine connection and clarity.

We May Be a Good Fit If…

It’s common to feel like you have it all together on the outside while feeling internally disconnected or stuck. I work best with individuals who are looking for a safe, non-judgmental space to explore their inner world. You may be a fit for my approach if:

  • You feel "stuck" in survival mode: You’ve realized the patterns that once helped you cope are now keeping you from feeling safe, valued, or present in your life.

  • You’re high-functioning but internally depleted: You’re navigating life transitions, anxiety, or shame, and you’re tired of just "getting through the day."

  • You are navigating neurodivergence: You are looking for a therapist who understands the unique challenges of workplace focus, communication, and self-advocacy.

  • You carry the weight of the past: You want to understand the experiences that shaped your protective beliefs and begin responding to yourself with care rather than criticism.

  • You value a collaborative, gentle pace: You want a therapist who honors your autonomy and walks alongside you rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all framework.

  • You want a therapist who is "down to earth": You value a practitioner with significant life experience who brings a calm, de-escalating, and practical presence to deep emotional work.

Areas of Specialization

  • Anxiety & Panic Disorders: Navigating the toll of chronic stress and "doubt loops."

  • Trauma & Complex PTSD: Healing wounds from chaotic upbringings or relational trauma.

  • Neurodiversity Support: Specifically for those navigating ADHD or IDD-related challenges in work and life.

  • Life Transitions & Identity: Finding direction during periods of significant change or "feeling lost."

  • High-Functioning Burnout: Support for those who appear "fine" but feel internally overwhelmed.

My Approach

I believe our struggles do not develop in isolation; they are shaped by our relationships, our early experiences, and the environments we have lived in. My work honors both your inner world and the context that shaped it.

My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens within you. We develop protective beliefs and patterns to survive, but those adaptations can later shape painful core beliefs about ourselves. Rather than simply managing symptoms, we work to understand where these patterns began and what they have been trying to protect.

To support this process, I integrate:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): We’ll get to know the parts of you that carry pain or work to protect you, helping you respond to them with compassion to allow for meaningful shift.

  • EMDR : We work with how trauma and anxiety are stored in the body, using the brain’s natural ability to process and release what feels "stuck."

  • Relational Focus: We explore how your history and environment impact your identity, helping you build healthier patterns for the future.
