Hi, I’m Ryan!

LMSW under Supervision of Amanda Steed, LCSW-S

I am a trauma-informed therapist with a strong clinical foundation built on over 20 years of direct work in crisis intervention, trauma support, and community advocacy. I bring a grounded, regulation-focused presence to the therapy room, helping individuals navigate the complexities of identity, anxiety, and the internal weight of "high-functioning" burnout. My work is steady and collaborative, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR principles to help you move from survival mode into a place of genuine connection and clarity.

We May Be a Good Fit If…

A lot of people who find their way to therapy aren't in crisis. They're functioning — maybe even thriving on the outside. But internally something feels off. Like they've lost touch with who they really are, or like they've been adapting and performing for so long that they're not sure what's underneath all of that anymore. That's the kind of work I do.

We may be a good fit if…

  • You feel like you're going through the motions — showing up, managing everything, but running on empty in a way that rest doesn't seem to fix

  • You're high-functioning but internally depleted — navigating burnoutanxiety, or shame, and tired of just getting through the day

  • You're neurodivergent and exhausted from years of adapting to a world that wasn't built for how your brain works — you're not looking to be fixed, you're looking to be understood

  • You carry the weight of past experiences and want to understand the patterns they created — not fight against them, but actually make sense of them

  • You want a therapist who moves at your pace, doesn't push you somewhere you're not ready to go, and brings a calm, grounded presence into the room

  • You want someone down to earth — with real life experience, a steady energy, and no interest in a one-size-fits-all approach

Areas of Specialization

  • Burnout — for people who appear fine but feel internally overwhelmed

  • Anxiety — including chronic stress, panic, and persistent doubt loops

  • Trauma & Complex PTSD — healing relational wounds and the beliefs they created

  • Neurodivergence — affirming support for adults navigating ADHD and related challenges

  • Life transitions & identity — finding direction when everything feels uncertain

My Approach

I believe the patterns that bring people to therapy developed for a reason. They were protective. They made sense given what someone was navigating at the time. My job isn't to get rid of those patterns — it's to help you understand them, and to create the conditions for something to shift.

I integrate EMDR and IFS in my work — two approaches that both start from the same place: there is nothing wrong with you. Healing happens within you, and my role is to walk alongside you as you access it.

Sessions are led by you and move at your pace. You can expect a space that is non-judgmental, unhurried, and focused on what's actually going on underneath — not just managing symptoms on the surface.
