Individual Therapy for Trauma, OCD, & Anxiety in Dallas, TX
Individual Therapy at Unfolding Collective: Personalized Support for Growth and Healing
Have you come to a point in your life where you feel lost and uncertain about how to move forward? It's common for situations, relationships, or the weight of the past to throw us off balance. When that happens, we don't always have the tools to respond in a way that promotes genuine growth — and that's exactly where the right therapist can make a life-changing difference.
At Unfolding Collective, our individual therapy services are grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed care for adults navigating anxiety, C-PTSD, OCD, spiritual deconstruction, and complex life transitions. You can learn more about our therapists and their specialties on our Team page, or explore our specific therapy approaches under Our Expertise.
The Process
Regardless of which therapist you work with, individual therapy at Unfolding Collective begins the same way: with a free consultation to ensure a strong clinical and relational fit. This is your space to ask questions about our approach and share what you're hoping to accomplish in therapy. If we decide to move forward together, we'll schedule an initial intake session. If it isn't the right match, we'll always provide referrals to trusted colleagues who may be a better fit.
Our intake session is built around a biopsychosocial assessment — a standard social work practice that gives us a rich foundation for understanding your life, your nervous system, and your goals. This isn't a checklist; it's a conversation. Because we are a non-pathologizing practice that does not work with insurance companies, your goals are dictated entirely by you — not a diagnostic manual or a corporate standard of care.
The Session Model
This is where working with Amanda and Ryan looks a little different — and we want to be upfront about that so you can choose the structure that fits your life and your healing goals.
Working with Ryan Muldoon, LMSW
Ryan offers traditional 50-minute weekly sessions, providing consistent, steady support in a familiar therapy structure. This cadence works well for clients who prefer regular weekly contact and a more gradual pace of exploration. Ryan's approach is warm, regulation-focused, and IFS-informed — ideal for "high-functioning" adults navigating anxiety, burnout, and the lingering effects of the past.
Working with Amanda Steed, LCSW-S
Amanda utilizes an extended session model designed to support deeper, more impactful healing. Rather than traditional weekly 50-minute sessions, all of Amanda's appointments are offered in extended blocks:
100-minute sessions, held biweekly
200-minute sessions, held monthly
This structure gives your nervous system the time it needs to fully process and integrate between sessions. You receive the same amount of therapy each month — but with significantly more depth, space, and intention built in. For the transformative work of EMDR and IFS, this spacious model creates the best conditions for meaningful and sustainable change.
